Aida’s TOEFL Journey

Building Confidence and Dreams

Building Confidence and Dreams

Aida Rahimy, from Herat, Afghanistan, joined the EAGT TOEFL preparation course to strengthen her English skills and work toward her dream of studying medicine, aiming to specialize in cardiac surgery. She enrolled with a clear goal: to take the TOEFL exam within five months and apply for scholarships that could open doors to higher education abroad. Before joining, Aida knew some English but often held back from speaking, unsure of her abilities. Through EAGT, she received structured lessons, hands-on practice, and supportive guidance that helped her gradually strengthen her reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. “This program gave me confidence, focus, and the motivation to pursue my goals. I learned to speak without fear and approach challenges step by step,” Aida shares. With support from her instructors, she built the skills and self-assurance needed to prepare for international exams and opportunities. Today, Aida feels more capable and determined than ever. Her journey highlights how access to structured guidance, encouragement, and persistence can empower students, especially girls, to turn challenges into achievements and take meaningful steps toward their academic and professional aspirations.
