Financial Independence and Global Opportunities
Asia Beheshte Salik, living in Kabul, Afghanistan, completed English courses through EAGT initiative, marking a turning point in both her academic and professional life. Learning English opened doors she had long dreamed of, and her dedication led to two remarkable achievements: she was hired as an English teacher at a private high school, gaining financial independence, and she was accepted into a prestigious international educational program that will help shape her future. Asia joined the English course with a clear goal: to expand her opportunities academically and professionally. Before the program, she faced challenges as an Afghan girl, navigating cultural and societal barriers that often made continuing education difficult. Through our EAGT initiative, she experienced a supportive teaching environment, interactive practice sessions, and guidance that helped her grow her confidence and skills. Learning English through Abaad’s EAGT initiative changed my life. It taught me that when determination meets the right support, even the biggest dreams can come true. Today, I stand as a teacher, not only earning for myself, but finally being able to support my family. For me, this is more than success… it’s hope, dignity, and a new beginning,” Asia shares. Her journey reflects how access to quality education and mentorship empowers Afghan girls to pursue their goals, overcome barriers, and create a hopeful and independent future.
